• Meeting topics: The Activities sections of the UC and Common Applications. I explain why this section is so important, how to maximize your character limits across the different applications, and provide resources to help you complete these sections.

College Monday workshop recording - September 16 (passcode: 7#u$4A%?). 

• Meeting topics: In this workshop, I provide an overview of the UC PIQs, explain how they are very different from the other college application writing you're doing, and point out common mistakes. I then review the 8 prompts, have you complete a brainstorming worksheet activity, and provide multiple resources for more support. I also provide the text you need to paste into the Additional Information section of the UC application.  Slide link and PIQ brainstorming worksheet. College Monday workshop recording - August 31 (passcode: s8p!MQPd). 

• Meeting topics: In this workshop, we completed the Education section of the UC application. I also demonstrated how to add other high schools for students who transferred to Credo or who took a Silicon Valley online class to replace a failed Credo class. I also demonstrated how to put your dual enrollment classes into the application - both DE classes taken at Credo and taken at other community college campuses or online.

• Meeting topics: In this workshop, we launched the UC application from CCGI (which is a requirement for all students applying to UCs). We then began the process of importing grades and information from CCGI into the UC app. We then reviewed what was imported, checked it against students' transcripts, and began to enter main lesson classes manually. We did not finish and will continue this process in the workshop on 8/31. Please do not attend this part on your own. It is confusing and very easy to get wrong.
